Three ways to help close the gender health gap this week
Learn how the brain shapes motherhood
As long-standing readers of this newsletter will know, I love a bit of female brain health.
The hormone and brain connection is fascinating, and we’re at the tip of the iceberg in terms of our understanding.
This blog from the Women’s Health Research Cluster at The University of British Columbia takes us through what happens in our brains during pregnancy, post-partum and menopause, and how it might all be connected.
Share your experience as a woman in the workplace
“My male boss is kind and accommodating but actively asks me NOT to tell him what’s going on as he ‘doesn't feel comfortable’ discussing it. I had to explain to him what menopause was.”
Does that comment resonate with you? This is one of the Bloomful Women’s Health in the Workplace global survey responses.
The brand has collated hundreds of stories so far but needs your help to build out the data further.
With the results, Bloomful plans to create a framework for what an equitable workplace should look like.
Help ensure FemTech is for everyone
University College London is running paid research into the accessibility of FemTech for users with disability.
The study aims is to identify any barriers and how developers can overcome these.
The researchers are looking for people with a visual and/or learning disability or impairment who are using FemTech applications for health management.
More about the study and how to enroll can be found here.
Bonus this week is a sexual wellness treat for you all. It’s Small Charities Week and SheSpot is offering 30% off its products to those who donate to their chosen charity. All you need to do to unlock the code is donate £4 to the brilliant sex ed organisation Fumble. Pleasure all round!
