Hello, lovely reader,
I’m hitting your inboxes early because I’m too excited.
My feature on millennial attitudes to menopause is in the latest issue of Women’s Health and online here.
Huge thanks to Sarah Graham, Rebel Bodies author and journalist, for believing in the idea and partnering on the research.
The five-page feature also got a mention on the magazine cover.
I’m over the moon by the story, but, I’m also delighted to finally launch the full report with you all.
So, here it is. The long-awaited Millennopause report.
Three ways to help close the gender health gap this week
Learn how Millennials are feeling about menopause
Remember in April when I asked my Millennial readers for their thoughts on menopause?
The results are now here!
I’ve collated a report summarising the findings, some positive expert perspectives and things we can all do to feel better prepared.
Thank you to everyone who contributed.
The report has been beautifully designed by Justyna Green. She’s a brilliant illustrator using her designs to call out the gender health gap.

I have a fabulous group of friends to thank for the report.
This particular bunch of pals is very open and we discuss everything from parenting and politics to periods and, well, past lives.
Some menopause workplace training triggered an anxious discussion in our Whatsapp group. The overwhelming feeling was, ‘what on earth is it going to happen?’
But through my work, I had another perspective. One where the menopause transition is named the ‘Second Spring’. A joyful, empowering time (as long as you have the right support, treatment and care in place!)
I’m using this report to help us all talk about how we’re feeling now AND to change things so it’s not so scary in the future.
Learn how I pitched a feature that made the cover
Last year, I spotted an old PR colleague sharing on LinkedIn that she’d pitched an idea that had become an extensive feature in the beauty pages of a glossy magazine.
It inspired me to try the same in women's health.
For many years I’ve created and pitched ideas for clients. Of course, I could do it myself, couldn’t I?
But having an idea is one thing. There’s a lot more to securing a five-page feature.
Head here to read what I did to get the coverage.
This week's bonus is a timely event for any of my readers in the midst of menopause in need of some R&R. ‘The Upgrade: Menopause Therapeutic Retreat’ brings together evidence-based science with traditional East Asian medicine. The five-night stay in Spain includes a nutritional consultation, acupuncture and yoga sessions. Contact Lucy here for more information.
