This definitely resonates (as a former doctor) – there is so much power in a transparent and honest conversation between medical professionals and patients – it's ok to be human and to explore the unknown together. Hopefully FemTech will help to empower women in these conversations. Thanks for sharing.
100% this 'Your lived experience matters, and it deserves to be taken seriously.' We know our bodies and we know when there's something wrong. Thank you for naming it.
Thank you so much for saying this. It is so easy for the medical establishment to just tell you it's all in your head. I once was dismissed by a Doctor who suggested I was anxious and needed anti-anxiety medication when I told him of my symptoms instead of just saying actually "I don't know but I'll find out."
They are the ones making us anxious by not taking us seriously 🤦🏾♀️. Have another friend who was told she was hypochondriac - only to later find out she had fibroids. The frustration is real but I’m hopeful that things are changing.
Thank you for sharing this! I’ve found this to be true time and time again. It’s positive to know more research is happening though (although there’s a lot of catching up to do!)
Thank you. And, exactly, we know the research is finally coming but we also know there’s a huge gap to fill. We’re all grown up enough to have these conversations

I really appreciate that perspective. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you. It’s heartbreaking that this is resonating so much for people but that’s the reality of our care for so long!

I had similar. I found in my GP notes that the diagnosis was ‘health anxiety’ before I’d even had bloods back. It’s not in our heads!

Loved this - such a great observation of what and why things happen
Thanks, Anna. Glad it resonated!
